Gods Grace in My Life
We get uncountable graces of God in our daily life. God has his own plan for each of us. He has done many wonders in my life. When we are in trouble he lifts us in his arms and gives us consolation to bear our sufferings. Often we forget the various graces received from God. Grace of God often comes to us not in a big way but often in small ways. We tend to forget these but Let us be thankful to God for every moment of our life.
God made my path easy
When I graduated in the year 1982, I had some desire to study further and to get a big job. I took admission to evening college and after sometime I got a job of a Clerk and with the help of my College Principal, I got posted in the College itself. I had already become ambitious to pass either Civil Services Examination or Assistants Grade Examination conducted by Union Public Service Commission. Being in Port Blair(Andamans), we had always the problem of communications. We hardly use to get Employment News. One evening, my friend insisted me that I should accompany him to a book stall. Unwillingly, I accompanied him. At that time I saw the last copy of Employment News where the detailed advertisement for Assistants' Grade Examination was published. I purchased that last copy, filled the form, appeared in the examination and lastly passed the examination. After few years, I joined a Ministry of Government of India in Delhi leaving the far-off place like Andamans . Often people who visit my Island now a days asks me, "Where did you studied?". When I tell them, it surprises them but it is the Grace of God. God always makes our path easy and make us to reach a place about whom we never dream. "He will make your paths straight," Proverbs 3:5-6. Praise the Lord.
How I was Blessed with a House.
When I came to Delhi in 1985, it was a tough time to find a place to live in. Every time I need a room on rent, someone came to side to help me. I have been shifting from place to place in a rented accommodation. I had tried to get a Government accommodation but I could not succeed to get an out of turn allotment. by the year 1995 both my daughters were school going and needed a stable place to live in. I searched for a small one room flat but I failed. One day at night, one person came to deliver me some new year gift. I had already gone to bed but I had to woke up. I asked him where he lived and asked him for his help in finding a small house for me. After he few days he showed me few houses in a re-settlement colony but somehow I could not choose one. One of the house was somewhat in good location but the owner use to keep his buffaloes( rather it was a stable) on the ground floor and he himself lived in on the first floor. There was a big Park in front of that house but all over foul smell prevailed. After thinking for sometime and with some negotiation the deal was finalized. I lived in this house for about four years and many unforgettable events took in life. It is really wonderful that God turned a stable into a residence for me. Praise the Lord.
After four years I got a Government accommodation and shifted there but my wife will always look for a bigger house of our own. One day she insisted that one particular flat we must purchase. We did not have enough money. After sometime I found Development Authority of the City was coming out with an offer to sell some flats. I told her to apply for it and if she is lucky enough in the lottery and get a flat, we will sell that Authority flat and purchase the flat she has chosen. What I spoke to my wife was not the words of mine but of God's himself because everything happened I had spoken at that particular point of time. I remembered the words of Jesus "So don't worry, thinking, 'What will we eat?', or 'What will we drink?', or 'What will we wear?' For everybody in the whole world does that, and your father knows that you need these things." and from this day I never worried for anything. Praise the Lord

How my wife got a job
In the year 1988, when I was married, I brought my wife along with me to Delhi. She was already working as a Teacher in Andamans so my parents and all other relatives were reluctant to send my wife with me. Somehow I took a decision that my wife should live with me as for me it was difficult to take care of her in case of any emergency if she is left alone in Andamans. After coming to Delhi she remained without a job for about a year but in the meantime she applied for a Teachers' job in Municipal Corporation of Delhi. She qualified the written examination but the interview date of 2nd March,1989 whereas her expected date of delivery for our first child was 20th February, 1989. We were little bit confused. I thought if I take her to maternity hospital on expected date of delivery, she may not be able to appear for the interview. So we decided to wait and see. Nothing happened till 20th February, 1989 and she could appear for her interviews. On 3rd March, 1989, I took my wife to Hospital. She was immediately admitted and underwent Caeserian operation and gave birth to a baby girl. After birth of my daughtor, some problem continued but by the time her appointment letter came, every thing was settled. One more incident took place. The appointment letter was sent to a wrong address. But see the grace of God, a person who got the letter came to my home and delivered it. I couldnot say thank to the person but still I feel a sense of gratitute and thank God that he sent an Angel. God is so merciful that for our good, He can do anything, as was in this case. Praise the Lord.
How I was Blessed with my First Job( A tribute to Dr. A.V.V.Iyer my College Principal).
In the year 1982, While I was studying for a Masters' Degree in English, I was alloted a seat for MBA in Coimbatore. Those days getting a seat for MBA was quite difficult. I went there, took admission but after a few days, my admission was cancelled by the University because I didnot have a degree under +3 system. I had no option but to go back to Port Blair and continue with PG studies. I needed a job at that point time to support myself. In fact, I never wanted to become a clerk and job which I got was of a Clerk. The another problem was my posting was in Car Nicobar, a far off place from Port Blair. I had two option either to accept the offer of job or to continue with the studies. In case of later, I didnot have support. I approached many people to get a posting in Port Blair but none came forward to help me. I became very tense and was not able to decide what to do? After a few efforts, decided to join the job and continue my studies later. When all these things happened, my College Principal was not there. I started preparing for going to Car Nicobar. One fine morning, the Driver of the Principal came to my residence and said that Principal wanted me to see just now. I went alongwith him. As I entered in the room of Principal, he just shouted on me and said, "Do you think, there is no one to help you?. You are an asset for me and do you want to waste your time as a Clerk for life?. He immediatly wrote a letter to Chief Secretary and requested him that I be posted in the College itself. Within next 10 days, I got my revised posting and was able to continue my studies as well. I remember the kind gesture of Dr. A. V.Vishwanthan Iyer, the Principal and continue to remember it for life because his help turned everything of my life. " Praise the Lord"
How I Became a Naturopath.
I never thought in my life that I will be a Doctor and treating patients. After matriculation I never studied science and did Post Graduate in English Literature. In 1996, I made my made to do Ph.D and wanted to register for it but somehow it couldnot materialise. This is during that time that one Naturopath who was working in my office told me to undergo three and half years Diploma in Naturopathy from All India Nature Cure Federation, New Delhi. This course is not recognised but widely accepted one because the Federation was first to propagate Naturopathy in India. Interestingly I had never heard about naturopathy and never new how one can be treated with water and mud etc. I appeared for the first year examination passed it but the doubt of the efficacy of the system continued to prevail on my mind. For the second year I decided to discontinue the course but some how my colleage pursuaded me to appear in the examination, which I did unwillingly. It so happened that one of my batchmate who was dealing with Naturopathy and Yoga in the Ministry of Health met me and told me that it is a recognised system of treatment. After finishing the Diploma I hesitated to practise but my colleages and even Senior officers told me to start practising. Even my senior officers officially permitted me to practise it in my leisure time. Slowly, after a few success, I too got some interest in it. Did a unrecognised Diploma in Homeopathy and learned some Accupressure. When I think of all this, it surprises me as how it happened? Though, I do not practise Naturopathy in large scale but the knowledge of the system is a big gift from God. I feel immense pleasure when someone gets cured from my treatment. Alleluia, Praise the Lord for his gift of knowledge.
Presence of Holy Spirit in my Life:
I first lost my mother on 8th July, 2012 and a year after on 10th July, 2013, I lost of my father too. I Wife too lost her mother. I became very disturbed both on domestic front as well on job front. Since I was relieved from Department of Telecommunication on June, 2012, I never got a right kind of Superior whether it was Department of Justice, Press Information Bureau or Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. In April, 2013, I went Port Blair to perform last rite of mother and again in May, 2014 I went Port Blair to perform the last rite of my father. During these two years I remained mentally tensed and even took long leave to avoid any problem from office side. On 21st May, 2014 I along with my cousin priest and niece( a nun) visited the cemetery of my parents, my elder brother's wife and my nephew. We prayed for sometime there. On 22nd May, 2014 the last rite of father was performed and as the mass was over peace started prevailing on me. On June 8, 2014 it was Pentecost Sunday and I prepared myself to receive the Holy Spirit. I received Holy Communion, I started the presence of Holy Spirit. As I was filled with Holy Spirit tears came down from my eyes and peace prevailed on me fully. Thank you Lord Jesus, Thank you Holy Spirit, Thank you Father the Almighty.
You Never Know When, How and Where God will use you for his Mission. Therefore, be alert and keep Praying.
